LaToya Simone Williams is a dedicated legal professional and educator, known for her commitment to excellence, service, and leadership. A proud Columbus, Georgia native, LaToya graduated as Valedictorian of Carver High School’s Class of 2005. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Arts in English, graduating cum laude from Albany State University.

LaToya Simone Williams is a dedicated legal professional and educator, known for her commitment to excellence, service, and leadership. A proud Columbus, Georgia native, LaToya graduated as Valedictorian of Carver High School’s Class of 2005. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Arts in English, graduating cum laude from Albany State University.

LaToya holds both a Juris Doctor and an LL.M. in Federal Criminal Practice and Procedure from Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law—making history as the first African American woman to earn this specialized degree.

LaToya began her career as a public defender in the Houston Judicial Circuit. After a decade of representing indigent clients in Middle Georgia, she transitioned to the Atlanta area and began serving as Chief Alternate Defender for the Dekalb Circuit Conflict Defender within the Georgia Public Defender Council. She currently serves as Senior Criminal Attorney at the law firm of TDE Family Law and Divorce Attorneys. LaToya combines zealous legal advocacy with a client-centered, compassionate approach. Her professional path is marked by her passion for justice and community empowerment.

In addition to her legal career, LaToya is a seasoned educator. She is an adjunct professor of Paralegal Studies and Business Technologies at Central Georgia Technical College and has previously taught Criminal Law and Business Law at Miller-Motte Technical College.

LaToya is a member of the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, where she has served as a faculty member of the Bill Daniel Trial Advocacy Program, as well as a faculty member of the National Criminal Defense College. She also serves on the Board of Regents for the National Criminal Defense College. Her leadership roles include Past President of the Houston County Bar Association and Houston County Young Lawyers Division. She also serves her community through involvement with the Macon Reentry Coalition, Gate City Bar Association, Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys, and is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

Beyond the courtroom and classroom, LaToya is a successful entrepreneur. She is the founder of Vision Venture Consulting, LLC, a firm focused on professional development, personal branding, and business growth. She also owns The Dream Team Events and Planning, an events, catering, and design business.

Driven by purpose and grounded in service, LaToya Simone Williams continues to inspire through advocacy, education, and entrepreneurship.
